So it's official, The Little Mermaid joins the list of movies Disney will "remake" in live-action. The film will feature new songs of which Alan Menken, original composer, is attached to and Lin- Manuel Miranda. Miranda is best known for the popular award winning, Hamilton.
No one has been announced to be attached to the project, for now.
